I'm cleaning up my computer and came across the "Videos" folder. Its hard to believe she was once so small... we truly have a toddler on our hands now. This video was at her 1st birthday (11/1/2009), eating her Tinkerbell cake. Today Mikayla is 2 years and 8 months old.
Mikayla is an active little girl, loves to play with dolls, purses and jewelry, shoes, read books, play-doh, swim in the pool, and so much more. She seems to have a lot to say too. And, over a period of the last 4 weeks she has learned to use the toilet on a regular basis so she is only wearing a pull-up at night and during naps. She gets rewarded with 2 jelly beans or 2 skittles candies when she "potties". She is quite the negotiator though and seems to always go for one more candy. I can never resist that cute little face when she holds up two or three fingers and cocks her head to the side to ask for more. It's a good thing we are practicing good dental hygiene! She knows baby brother is in mommy's belly and that he is coming soon. She has had some exposure to a couple of my friends new baby boys, I hope that she will do well when little Dunmar arrives. She already is good at being bossy, she tries to get Willie to do things...usually he ignores her.
